Ladies Fellowship

The Ladies Fellowship at Mt. Pleasant is open to all females who attend the church. They meet regularly on the 4th Thursday of the month.

October 2011 - Thirty-one Sale

All the ladies of the church are invited to bring a favorite soup to share at 6:00 p.m. Following a brief business meeting, at 7:00 Crystal Zellers from the Freeburg Church of the Brethren will present a Thirty-One party with all of her profits donated to camp Inspiration Hills. This is a great way to fellowship and no one is required to buy, however, for those shoppers, it is a great way to support the camp.

Planning Meeting

April 28 - 6:30 p.m. -- Games and a discussion of summer plans. Bring food to share; sloppy joes will be provided.

Thanks to a group of dedicated women and to the most supportive church family. The bake sale to raise funds for mulch around the church was a great success. About $550.00 was raised on Palm Sunday. Thanks to everyone who donted by either preparing food or by buying some of the goodies. We are still about $300.00 short, but I have faith that God will provide one way or another if it is His will. Breakfast Buffet

April 9 - All the women of the church are invited to meet with the Women's Fellowship at the Golden Corral located at 4910 Dressler Road for their breakfast buffet on April 9th at 8:00 a.m. The cost of the meal is $8.99 per adult and includes your beverage.

March Garden Party

Thursday March 24, 2011 - Women's Fellowship meeting in the Fellowship Hall of Mt Pleasant Church at 6:30 pm. This was a planting party for the upcoming fundraiser in May. We planted our vegetable and flower seeds to grow for the plant sale. A meal of hot dogs, chips was provided. Mud pies for dessert!

February Activities

Saturday February 19, 2011- A Bird in the Hand - This was an adventure like no other! After a short hike on a trail about a quarter of a mile long, eveyone was given the opportunity to hand feed wild chickadees. And believe me it was not a maybe thing-they did feed right out of your hand! (One of the cutest birds ever, in my opinion!) There is also a fire and refreshments offered.
Thursday February 24, 2011 -Time to get your game on! -Women's Fellowship meeting in the Fellowship Hall of Mt Pleasant Church at 6:30 pm. This was a fun game night! Everyone brought games that they liked to share along with their favorite snack food. (Pretzels, chips, popcorn, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate...drinks will be provided.

It's the Beach in January

Ladies Fellowship will be meeting on the evening of Thursday January 27 in the church's fellowship hall at 6:30. Secret Sisters will reveal themselves to each other. Everyone is encouraged to bring a summertime food to share and dress in summer attire! It may be snowing outside but the surf's going to be up at the Ladies' beach party! There will be games and great fun! All women from 1-91 are encouraged to join us.

Sunday, December 5 - We held a Christmas goodie sale after the service down by the Fellowship Hall. We made $275 which will go to the Women's Fellowship baby blanket fund.

November 2010

Tuesday, November 30 - We are meeting at Embassy Lanes to bowl a couple games starting at 6 pm. The cost is $1.25 a game and $2.50 if you need to rent shoes. Cindy is planning on calling ahead to reserve lanes, so if you are planning on attending, please let her know by November 20, so that she can get a head count. The address for Embassy Lanes is1206 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, OH. It is near Myers Lake Plaza.

District Board Meeting Events

Friday, November 19 - All the women helping with the preparation of the meal and dining room set up for the District Board Conference on November 6 met at 6:00. Pizza was provided.

Saturday, November 20- Members of Women's Fellowship who have signed up for "Morning Hospitality" met at the church by 9:00 am to serve coffee, juice and doughnuts.

Saturday, November 20- Member's of Women's Fellowship who have signed up for "lunch" for the district board conference met at the church kitchen @ 11 am. Lunch was served at 12:00.

October 2010

The ladies met on October 28 to work on making laprobes for the shutins of the church.

September 2010

Approximately 20 ladies of the church met at the church on Thursday, September 23 at 6:30 pm for a bonfire and weiner roast. Plans for the upcoming months were made and officers were elected.
